How To

What is a battery pack and how do I replace it?

A battery pack provides the primary power source for the motors in your drone. They provide enough power for your quadcopter to fly smoothly and safely.

Most likely, there won't be any noticeable difference in the batteries of a new drone. Your battery pack will gradually wear down over time. The battery pack may eventually stop working. It is important to change the battery to make sure your drone works properly.

It is best to replace a battery pack with the original part. Otherwise, you risk damaging your drone by installing a faulty battery pack.

These are the steps you need to follow in order to replace a dead battery pack.

  1. Disconnecting the battery connector cable is a good idea. This step ensures that your drone doesn't receive any electrical current. To disconnect the battery connector cable, simply pull it away from the drone.
  2. Remove the battery pack. Take the battery pack out of the bottom part of your quadcopter. The battery pack often splits into two pieces.
  3. Find the battery contacts. After you've taken out the battery pack, search for the battery contacts. These small metal pins connect the battery to the rest of the components inside the drone.
  4. Install the new battery. Next, install the new battery into the drone. You will need to align the battery connectors from both ends of the battery package. Next, insert the battery package onto the drone. Once done, tighten the bolts holding the battery pack in place.
  5. Connect the battery connector cable again. After installing the new batteries, connect the battery connector to the drone.
  6. Make sure to test the drone. Before flying your drone again, check whether it still operates correctly. If it does, then congratulations!
