Iran's drone program is built on the Predator. The Predator is a U.S. Air Force model. The Shahed 129, a model of the Predator's Shahed 129, was launched in 2010. Iran also developed an airstrip in Jakigur for 2015 as well. One of the few drones named after an American action hero was Shahed 129.

Mohajer-2

The Mohajer-2 Mohajer-2 version is an improved Mohajer. It has greater operational range, navigation, and is faster. The Mohajer-2 was developed by the Iranian Air Force and took over production from the original Mohajer. The Mohajer-2 was 9 feet long and measured 12.5 feet in wingspan. It had a WAE-342 2 stroke engine of 25 horsepower that could also be used as a pusher propeller. Its fuselage featured straight mainplanes near the midships and wing tips that clipped.

Iranian government successfully converted its Ababils, Mohajers, into advanced UAVs. UN Peacekeepers quizzed Iran's government over the presence of drones near Sudan in 2008. In 2008, Iran replied that the drones are Zagils. Two of those drones were taken down by rebels within Sudan. Venezuela was then able to acquire the Mohajer-2 UAVs but has not been capable of detecting them.

Karrar interceptor

The Karrar Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles and one-way missiles is called. The drone can operate at high speeds and at high altitudes thanks to its wing design. The drone can carry out both types of missions as well as record images of ground targets. It can also carry munition. The unitary bomb weighs 500 lbs and the weapon it carries is smaller. The Israelis would shoot it down, killing both civilians and drones.

qcopter drone

The Karrar Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is a cloned version of the Beechcraft MQM-107 Streaker. It was used by the United States as a military target. The US exported it to Iran during Shah's rule. To make the Karrar, the Iranians reverse engineered the aircraft. The drone can reach speeds of 500 mph and is capable of carrying 250-pound anti-ship missiles, a GPS-guided bomb, or even a small cruise missile.

How To

How To Fly Drones For Beginners

A drone refers to a remote-controlled aircraft designed for aerial photography, surveillance and scientific research. Drone technology has been around since World War II. DJI's Phantom series of quadcopters was the first to be commercially used. There have been many drones made since then. These range from beginner-friendly drones like Parrot AR Drone 2.0 to more advanced multi-rotor craft like DJI Mavic Pro.

There are many ways to fly a drone.

  1. Remote control - This allows you to control the drone from your hand. There are two types of controllers available: joysticks and on/off switches.
  2. Manual Control- This allows you to control your drone remotely via GPS coordinates. You must keep track of the location where you want the drone to go and follow the instructions from the app.
  3. Autonomous flight - The drone takes over the piloting duties. The drone is able to fly autonomously, without the need for human intervention. It must have a builtin camera, sensors capable of taking images and data to enable autonomous flight.
  4. Triggered Flying - This method works in the same way as manual control. However, the pilot has to manually set up a route for the drone and it follows that route until reaching the endpoint. After the program is complete, the drone automatically returns to the ground.
  5. Landing Gear – Some drones are equipped with landing gear, which allows them to safely land if they lose power during flight.
  6. Goggles: Some pilots use goggles in order to protect themselves against debris when operating.
  7. Camera - Some drones are equipped with cameras allowing you to capture photos and videos from above.
  8. Obstacles-Some drones come with obstacle avoidance devices that keep them from hitting obstructions.
  9. Speed - Some drones can reach speeds of over 40 mph.
  10. Battery Life – Most drones will last 20 minutes to three hours depending on how powerful they are.
  11. Range - Depending on the model, some drones can travel up to 30 miles away.
  12. Power source - Not all drones can use an external power source. Others can run on internal batteries.
  13. Weight - Some drones have a weight of less than 1 pound and others weigh 4 lbs.
  14. Size - From small drones that can be carried in the palm of one's hand to larger drones that weigh over 50 pounds, drones come in a variety of sizes.
  15. Price - All drones fall within a specific price range, from high-end models that can cost thousands of dollars to lower-cost options starting at $100.
