AeroVironment is preparing to deliver its unmanned Puma aircraft system to an American ally. It was awarded $8.5 million in a drone contract. This drone is described in detail below. This article will also discuss the Puma LE as well as the RQ-20 AE. It will also talk about the Switchblade 300 lootering munition. As new information becomes available, the article will be amended.

Puma LE

The US Air Force operates the Puma AE (All Environment) small unmanned aircraft system in Afghanistan. The drone can perform intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance in many environments. Its robust design allows it to perform well in high-altitude settings. It can also be used for search and rescue missions, drug interdiction, and maritime patrol missions. The drone will be made available by spring 2020.

The Puma LE weights 23.5 lbs and can hold a maximum payload of 5. It comes with an Ethernet connection and an EO/IR sensor suite. You can launch it either by hand or with a bungee. It can last for 5.5 hours and has a 60-kilometer range. AeroVironment's Long-Range Tracking Antenna allows the Puma LE to operate up to 60 km.

Puma 3 AE

The Puma 3AE drone is small and unmanned. It has a high-mounted main unit and a traditional single fin tail unit. One person can control it in the field, and another operator at a station on the ground. The aircraft can do deep stall landings as well as automatic recovery from a crash. It is equipped a Mantis-i45 sensor suite. This includes a 50x dual 15 megapixel electrooptical camera, an 1.2MP low light camera, and thermal imaging systems that are 640x512p.

The Puma 3AE can be used for both maritime and land operations. It can fly up to 9.2 feet, and it only weighs 15 pounds. It can fly for 2.5 hours, and it can land in water. This provides high-resolution imagery. The Puma 3 AE drone comes with a Mantis i45 AE gimbal, which has 50x zoom and IR capabilities. The Puma 3 AE drone's sensor suite provides enhanced imaging capabilities and extended flight time.

RQ-20AE

The RQ-20 AE ISR Workhorse is a light, rugged hand-launched ISR machine that carries an electrooptical camera, infrared imaging sensors, and IR illuminator. Its payload is designed to offer superior performance in harsh environments. Its Precision Navigation System (PNS), and secondary GPS enable it to fly more accurately and reliably. This unmanned aircraft is remotely controlled using a battlefield-proven Ground Control Station.

The RQ-20 AE offers a range of 12 miles and a flight duration of just three hours. It has a wingspan of nine feet and weighs in at fourteen pounds. In April 2022, the United States will send a few drones to Ukraine. These drones will help to assess threat levels, enemy strength, and other areas such as Ukraine. The RQ-20 is also equipped to perform ISR missions in the environment, including Scout Surveil mission, environmental threat assessment, and target scouting.

Switchblade 300 loitering munition

The Switchblade 300 anti-drone weapon can be used both by special operations forces as well as conventional forces. The unique wave-off feature makes the Switchblade 300 an ideal loitering munition. The Switchblade has a range about ten km and a maximum speed at 160 km/h. It can reach a target in six minutes. The Switchblade 300 is able to be deployed from either an aircraft or moving vehicle.

Designed for single use, the Switchblade is lightweight, less than 2 feet long and weighs less than 5.5 pounds. It can fly up to 15 minutes and costs less than six thousand dollars. You can carry the Switchblade in a rucksack to make it easy to transport. The Switchblade 300 loitering munition has been tested in the United States and in Ukraine. It is similar to a mortar in accuracy, and it produces the same effects.

How To

Repairing A Damaged Drone Motor

To repair a motor damaged, the first step is to identify which part is broken. The best way to do so is to take the propeller off the motor shaft. Next, remove all wires from the motor shaft and inspect the internal workings. If you find something wrong, it is time to identify the problem.

If there is no damage to the motor, then you don't have to worry too much however if the motor looks like one of these images below, then you'll need to replace some components before you can fly again.

Imagine a motor that isn't turning anymore because it has been bent. The motor must be bent again. To hold the engine, use a pair pliers or a vice grip. After you're done, check your motor for signs of wear.

Once everything is fine, place the propeller onto the motor shaft. Now you are ready to fly your drone!
