How To

What is a battery pack and how do I replace it?

A battery pack is the main power source for the motors of your drone. These packs provide enough power to keep your quadcopter in flight safely and smoothly.

The difference in the battery pack between a drone you already own and a new one that you purchase will not be noticeable. However, the battery pack will eventually wear down. The battery pack may eventually stop working. To ensure your drone continues to operate properly, you'll have to replace its battery pack.

It is best to replace a battery pack with the original part. You could endanger your drone's safety by using a faulty replacement part.

Follow these steps to replace a battery.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the battery connector. This will ensure your drone doesn't get any electric current. Simply pull the connector cable off the drone to disconnect it.
  2. Unscrew the battery pack. Remove the battery pack from your quadcopter's bottom. The battery pack often splits into two pieces.
  3. Locate the contact points. Look for the contacts after you've removed your battery pack. These small metal pins link the battery and the rest of your drone's components.
  4. Install the new battery. Next, attach the new battery to the drone. To do so, align the battery connectors on both sides of the battery pack. After that, attach the battery pack to the drone. After that, secure the bolts that hold the battery pack in place.
  5. Attach the battery connector cable. Reconnect the battery connector cable after you have installed the new battery pack.
  6. You should test your drone. Make sure your drone is still working properly before you take it out again. Congratulations if it works!
